THE MINISTRY

The Story of Deep Rooted Church

What first started out as a Bible Study suddenly turned into a house church. The first meeting of Deep Rooted Church was held in the Ochoa's home in the middle of Visalia, California in January of 2021. Since then, a hospitable atmosphere, strong leadership, and a community of like-minded believers have attracted people from all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life.

The Legacy Began

Before the church ever existed, God gave the vision of Deep Rooted Church to Matthew in 2014. When our founding pastors, Matthew, and Stephanie Ochoa, were merely dating, they began a small weekly Bible study of about 5 people in the upstairs loft of Matthew's parent's house. During the course of their relationship, God began to work on their hearts together about something more impactful.

In 2017, God radically transformed both Matthew and Stephanie with the revelation about healing, prospering, and living in God's very best. Matthew is the author of Is God Out To Get Me?, a book about God's true nature. His heart is for people to have a true understanding about who God really is and what He says about His children.

After they married in 2019, God began to unravel and reveal more visions and dreams about the church that was to come in the near future. Desiring a place to call home, they would soon find themselves starting and pastoring their church, Deep Rooted Church in May of 2021.

Together, they have touched the lives of hundreds of people in more than 40 countries through their weekly television program and Bible study, and Sunday services.

A Local Church With a Global Call

Deep Rooted Church has become a congregation of people from all sorts of differing backgrounds. Although the church is in Visalia, California, Deep Rooted reaches hundreds of thousands of people every year through its online media outlets.

The Lord inspired them to be a local church with a global call to keep the vision moving forward. They are determined to get the Word of God out into all of the world impacting millions. Their vision is too big for them to do alone which is why we need the local church.
