STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God and it is without mistake as originally written. The Bible contains God’s complete plan for humankind’s salvation, and it is the only unfailing rule of faith and practice for the Christian life (2 Timothy 3:15-17).
We believe in God, the creator of all things, who eternally exists in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal in authority, power, and dignity (Genesis 1:1-31, 1 John 5:7-8, Matthew 3:16-17).
We believe Jesus Christ is both eternally God and eternally man. He left Heaven and was born into the earth by the Holy Spirit through the virgin Mary. He lived a perfect, sinless life, and through that was the perfect sacrifice for all people, for all time (Hebrews 2:5-18, Luke 1:34, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 4:15, 1 John 3:5, Hebrews 10:14).
We believe that Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection have made salvation available to all. Salvation is an act of our free will in response to God’s love for us. It is predestined only in that God, through His omniscience, foreknew those who would follow Him (John 3:16, Titus 2:11, Romans 8:29).
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential (Ephesians 1:13–14).
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues is available for all believers. The baptism of the Holy Spirit empowers believers for service and witness and conforms us to the image of Christ (Acts 1:5, Acts 1:8, Matthew 3:11, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 19:6, Jude 20, 1 Corinthians 14:2).
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (Romans 2:6-8, Matthew 25:46, Romans 6:23, Matthew 7:13-14).
We believe that the ministry of evangelism and discipleship is the responsibility of all followers of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20)
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 1:10, 1 Peter 3:8, Philippians 2:2, Acts 4:32, 1 Corinthians 12:12, Acts 2:1-47).
We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end. We believe that since all life is sacred, every human being has value and deserves dignity. As such, we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellow men (Jeremiah 1:5, Luke 1:41-44, Genesis 1:26-28).
We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complement each other in marriage. God instituted monogamous marriage between males and females as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female (Genesis 1:24-27, Genesis 5:2, Mark 10:6, Ephesians 5:31, Matthew 19:5).
We believe in the priesthood of every believer, that all believers have equal and direct access to the throne of His grace (1 Peter 2:5-7, Ephesians 3:12, Hebrews 4:16).
